411 Volume 14 Issue 3
411 VM - Volume 14 Issue 3

This Issue Russ Hope from Santa Cruz was responsible for the art design and you kinda recognize that by looking at the skaters featured. The Santa Cruz Team here definitely gets a good spot in the picture and also our good Flo Marfaing got several bangers coming. But also the young amateur Marius Sveyanen knows how to more than to astonish. Moreover tech grenade Ted de Gross has a Check Out part that´s really amazing. Tech to da fullest! And being that the Nollie Cab-Heel flip over the picnic table from the introduction is not the hardest trick, at all! Together with Cliché the trip continues to Sicily were the boys found some abstract spots and once again prove that you can skate anywhere in the world. And those are special and somehow creative spots. Also you can see those guys still living the skater-gipsy-style without expensive hotels or restaurants and that´s nice to see, again and again. Rocker Richie Belton grew with DNA within his time and in his part bangs several bomb drops from walls and thickest gaps. His part is quite smashing but anyway nice to take a look at especially when you know him from being a little kid. Also Ben Gore the newest World amateur has a part that shows that he deserves this position, as well. Controlled lines with nice flip combos make his skating very viewable and some bangers this good man has to offer! Duffs´ got a part in which all their riders are featured. Here especially Pat Rakestraw outstanding from the team. Pat may have a kind of strange style but nevertheless his skating is the bomb. The same suits for Don "The Nuge" Nguyen who redefines the term "throwing". Or did anybody who´s ever been to Barcelona ever think about jumping over and down into the deep the wall on the beach?! Additionally he bangs smooth heel- and kickflips and that with such perfection only fewest people can. In any case this is a surprisingly good part from a skater that you didn´t get to see too much, so far. 411 - what can I say: like always a high quality video!

411 VM - Volume 13 Issue 2
411 VM - Volume 13 Issue 2

The 411 Video Magazine from the USA advanced to the Skateboard Video Mag within a short period of time. After 411 productions swapped owners and Wassermann announced changes we now get a completely renewed 411 Video Magazine. For sure all of the 411s were new but the new DVD was completely revised and got itself a new look. Besides the fact that the DVD now always comes in a DINA4 paper mag and not in a nice DVD for the shelf, anymore there are detailed, fastidious and creative graphic animations from a former Adio graphic that provide a cool style for the video mag. The second issue comes jam-packed with explosive skating from an all-star lineup. Charging in with an unforgettable Openers segment, the momentum continues with an epic Chaos featuring Jake Nunn, Richie Belton and Emeric Pratt. DVS brings More Skate More with footage from Daewon Song, Kerry Getz, Jeron Wilson and the rest of the DVS team. Kurtis Colamonico and Graham Bickerstaff wreck havoc bringing in the New World Order while Kenny Anderson, Danny Montoya and Mikey Taylor go undercover in Italy to pull off The Italian Job. Finishing it all off, the mind-blowing Chris Haslam and the ever-so-solid Cooper Wilt give you a glimpse of what it's like to be Almost Famous.
The excitement doesn't stop there! Think you're a good skater? Well Don't Quit Your Day Job, as Landon Mitchell and Anthony Acosta tear up the scene. Billabong takes you on a European Vacation featuring Jereme Rogers, Mike Peterson and the rest of the Billabong team. 411's got all the highlights from the intense 2005 Tampa Pro Contest to quench your thirst. 411 also gives you the Subtitled Chaos, showing you the names of each trick as it goes down. But wait! There's more! An interactive Product Guide, a 32-page 'zine with photos and interviews, a free poster and a free CD music sampler make this issue a must-have!

411 VM - Volume 13 Issue 1

2005 marks the beginning of a new life for 411 Skateboarding with the launch of the completely redesigned 411 Video Magazine. Taking cues from the history of 411VM, the 411VM viewers, skateboarders, skateboard retailers, and skateboarding industry members, the new product marks an exciting change.
Most notably, the new 411VM packaging has undergone a dramatic physical change. No longer packaged as a traditional video, 411VM has become a multi-media product including a DVD, Free Music Sampler CD, 32-page Zine, and Poster! With the modernized format, each 411VM release will feature a "guest creative director" giving the print packaging and DVD motion graphics an individual look and feel. Prominent artist Dave Kinsey (blkmrkt.com, kinseyvisual.com) produced the visual identity of the first new 411VM, releasing in March 15th, 2005.
The new 411VM has also seen a significant increase in production quality. New article concepts will be introduced to give viewers more of what they have requested ? quality over quantity, amazing skateboarding from the best skateboarders in the world, popular and new music, and a product guide showcasing industry leading brands. The first issue of the new 411VM features skate parts from Daewon Song, Reese Forbes, Terell Robinson, Enrique Lorenzo, Danny Montoya, and Wieger Van Wageningen, with appearances by Andrew Reynolds, Stefan Janoski, Brandon Biebel, Kenny Reed, Cairo Foster and more!
