BLIND - What If ?

After a nicely done opener that reminds a little bit of the old World videos and that is even featuring Christian Hosoi. The first part is from the Canadian Corey Sheppard. Corey is a styler in the face of god and I think never even had a complete part, before. This one here is thanks to its big variety of spots and lines straight my favorite one in the whole video - so nice! The little Aussie Jake Duncombe probably has the worst front-short back-long hairstyle that I have ever seen but in spite of that knows to handle his board quite elegantly and smoothly. Aaron Artis is on the road and Evan Schiefelbine represents the creative party. The Canadian Grant Patterson can due to his clothing easily be recognized as Hip Hop. He really skates incredibly well and tech and has the Nollie- Front- foot- flip on lock. Kris Markovich doesn´t have to hide with his skating, either and Carlos Ruiz kills all spots that come beneath his wheels. Leaves out the question if he is able to do some pushing, as well because that actually can´t be seen in his part. James Craig seems to be fully redeemed from his bad knee injury and provides a good street part. His song was produced by Rapper "Murs" from "Living Legends" exclusively for the video. "Jake Brown abolished the fast forward button on the remote control" - This sentence I read in a magazine about a Jake Brown part. It was referring to the phenomena that halfpipe parts of most videos become victims of the fast forward button. Whoever does this with Jake's is guilty himself. He will miss one of the most creative vert riders ever. Last but not least Ronnie Creager gives himself the honor. I expected a lot and got exactly that. Ronnie is like Daewon Song - after every part you think: "That´s it! That´s not to top anymore" but the boys manage every time to top their old video parts, again.

ELEMENT - rise up

Hach, was that feeling nice now, the Element Europe video! Finally people who are known and who prove that skateboarding in Europe doesn´t have to be hiding behind anything. Watching the video all and every evening I soon had to recognize that it improves each time watching it. The boys ran over almost every European top-spot. Michi Mackrodt has the first part and that´s all about perfect skating made easily understandable. Clean lines joined by some numerous bangers are simply good to watch. Jean-Marc Soulet follows right after and rides to a Hip-Hop song that suits to his part and to his skating. You could nearly think to see the young Tom Penny. I got to know Bas Janssen in Moscow and different from me he even came in the joy of getting to know the russian capital in the summer. After Bas rode some or another line the Amateur Mix Part comes up opened by the probably best female skater Evelin Bouillard and containing footy from Patrick Bös amongst others. Pirkka Poulari is one of the two Fins in the team who prove that up there not only Arto is able to ride skateboard. Jo Lorenz´ part is of course the absolute bomb most of all considering that two years ago he used to live 3 house doors up the road. The part shows Jo from his best side like we know and love him. Sebo Hepp also rides to a kicking ass Hip Hop song and really hits the gas pedal not only concerning tricks but also concerning speed. Sometimes you really think that he doesn´t get along with pushing. The last part is fought by Janne Saario who a little bit specialized on Manuals. Who now thinks that good Deawon did everything possible in this area, already has to be told "Not like that"! There still were and there still are some more. For me the flick was straight pretty kickin´ because it shows Skateboarding from a very honest european perspective !

SANTA CRUZ - Out There...

The video is being watch all the time in our office. Well, actually we´re only watching Florentine Marfaings´ part the first real part ever since the last Lordz video. And boy does this one kick ass! Only styler tricks nearly all perfectly done and the probably safest sw treflip in the Biz that he can even do in Flip-Flops. His buddy Carolino as well has a very good part that is like always marked with incredible skills in the field "PoP". Besides those two from us favorite riders of course the long-time Santa Cruz England import Alex Moul has a fine part that once again shines because of various Frontfoot Impossible combinations. Lee Smith for me actually was one a little bit "into his days" gotten SF Tech-Dog but his part shows that it´s not like that at all, big time. That he found a new Board sponsor with Santa Cruz is in any case fully earned! Oli Bürgin and Henning Braaten are two more Europeans that put their mark onto the video and shows that the level between europeans and americans nearly evens out on one. Nevertheless a rider from the US gets the first part and his name is Emanuel Gunzmann. Who has seen his Kickflip Bs Noseblunt commercial can a imagine quite a bit what this young man can shake out of his feet. In a nutshell one can say that Out There was almost completely filmed in Barcelona and because of almost all riders being from European widths it has a quite sympatric touch to it. Not last because of Florentine you should have seen this video once at least.

Baker - Baker3

Baker3 is here! - Ellington and Reynolds become fathers.
One of the best videos of this year! Of course I am talking about the Baker3 Video that´s really amazing I am speaking from my own experience. After the video celebrated its premier on the 10th of August in Hollywood and only in the USA other premieres were done now the video is available over here, as well. This short period of time distance between world premier and release date is measured to other skateboard videos extremely short. The Baker3 video is exactly in that kinda Style like we all wanted to see it. Additionally I have to say that me being a Hip Hop Fan I am additionally flashed by the video even if it really shouldn´t be my thing considering image or style. Maybe actually that shows what makes this video genious. All fans of Andrew Reynolds, Erik Ellington, Kevin Spanky Long, Brian Herman, Jeff Lenoce, Terry Kennedy and so on won´t be disappointed. Slightly genius - Ali Boulalas guest part at the end of the video starts of with the writing: "A traditional Boulala Part", well and believe me it really is like that ...

DIGITAL - Divercity
DIGITAL - Divercity

The start off is done by Mark Guttermann who easily can be called as the New Generation of young rail skaters. The second rider is Enrique Lorenzo who once again shows his and slick´n easy way. Also the very good half pipe part of PLG who as well shows skating on the DC Mega Ramp fits well into the video. Here and there the Big Names like Appleyard, Creager, Stanton appear but the incredible finish Zered Bassett takes care of. The boy is maybe the best East Coast skater for me. A delight!

TRANSWORLD - First Love

Another sugar piece of the Transworld Team around Jon Holland. Here the 5 first Lovers show their love towards the board. And How! The start off is done by the long time missed Shiloh Greathouse who together with Richard Angelides shows glamorous curb skating. After that Omar Salazar destroys about like everything into pieces - The Bomb Drop at the end is pure suicide. The end of the video then does Ryan Gallant followed by an once again himself outraging Leo Romero who rightfully was chosen on the internet as First Lover NO.1.
